When designing the new Ford Focus, Ford concentrated on improving the ride comfort, refinement and road-holding. As a result steering is light, gaining weight as speeds increase to provide great road grip. Along with accurate steering, the new Focus has robust and progressive brakes and a neat, precise gearshift making the Focus feel wonderfully vivacious. The Focus is now available with a new 1.6 litre Ecoboost engine offering 147bhp and 180bhp outputs.

Minimal wind and road noise result in a wonderfully quiet ride on long journeys. Every engine complies with latest Euro 5 emissions standard and all produce less than 140g/km. Safety features are in abundance in the new Ford Focus and include many airbags, ISOFIX child seat fittings, electronic stability control, and a 'torque vectoring' system. This system improves performance and safety using the Electronic Stability Programme and brakes to distribute drive to the front wheel with the most traction. This improves the Focus’s cornering dexterity and stability way above all other cars of its class.

The new Ford Focus has an excellent driving position due to its wide range of seat and wheel adjustment options. The comfortable seats and minimal wind and road noise make for a relaxed and enjoyable journey every time. Plentiful head and legroom is provided for all passengers and due to a wider cabin, passengers are also treated to increased shoulder room. In the boot you will find a cavernous area with 363 litres of loadspace. This increases to 1,148 litres with the rear seats folded.

The new Ford Focus has a fantastic array of equipment and features. All models benefit from air conditioning, stability control, DAB digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity with voice control. Trade up to the range-topping Titanium X and get cruise control, dual-zone climate control, hill start assist, heated front seats, 17 inch alloys and ambient lighting. Adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and a lane-departure warning system are all available as options.
